How to use CueTrim

Set up once. Keep only the moment you need.

The website is your control panel. The small CueTrim Engine performs the media work privately on your own computer.

From link to finished file

  1. 1

    Install the engine

Open the Engine page, choose your operating system and, on Mac, the correct Intel or Apple-silicon package. Finish the graphical installer.

  2. 2

    Return to CueTrim

The website checks your computer automatically. When the status says Engine ready, paste one public media link that you have permission to use.

  3. 3

    Choose the result

Select video or audio, a quality, an optional start and end time, Fast or Exact cutting, and a clear file name.

  4. 4

    Create and save

Confirm your right to use the content, create the file, then save it to any folder. Media processing and temporary files stay on your computer.

Fast or Exact?

Fast cuts near a video keyframe and usually finishes sooner. Exact reprocesses the selected section for precise start and end times.

Quality choices

Free accounts can use Auto up to 720p, then 480p, 360p, 240p or 144p. Plus can use the source's maximum available quality and every detected resolution.

Future engine updates

CueTrim compares your installed version with the latest official release. When an update is ready, the website gives you the correct download for your computer.

What stays local?

The submitted link, temporary media and completed file are handled by the engine on your computer. Payment and account details never pass through the engine.
